This week I bought flowers with my youngest in mind. His birthday party was last Saturday (he's 3!), and I thought he'd really like these blue and green hydrangeas and the prickly sea holly. (Thanks to my sister-in-law, I now know what those funny prickles are called.)
He was very impressed with my flower choice. Balloons are awesome, too!
Master bathroom
Then I saw these roses. Ah, so pretty and delicate looking! These are for me.
Getting them into the car I noticed the name of the color. Do you ever like something even more when you find out the name or name meaning? I think the name Paloma is so pretty and it means Dove. So sweet!
Like all flowers, roses can be persnickety and start to droop, even with those strong, fiberous stems. So I helped these out after a couple of days with a little jewelry.
I used a silver chain necklace to give them a little more support. No need to try to hide that reinforcement. I had just better remember to take it off before tossing the bunch!
Laundry room
I love how poms last for so long! What beautiful troopers they are. And the tiny bit of hyacinth made the room smell so nice.
Boys' Bathroom
My four year old informed me today that having only two flowers in his bathroom was not gonna cut it. He cracks me up! I guess I'll need to do some sharing.
